Internship Experience at SVS Attorneys, Delhi 2025 : A Transformative Journey

Internships are a crucial part of a law student’s journey, providing exposure to the legal profession and practical training. My experience at SVS Attorneys, Delhi, located at Bengali Market, Todarmal Road, near Mandi House Metro Station, was nothing short of transformative—both intellectually and financially rewarding.

Internship Mode and Duration

The internship at SVS Attorneys is structured in a hybrid format, requiring a minimum duration of 60 days, split into 30 days of offline work and 30 days online. However, I opted to complete my internship entirely in offline mode from December 3, 2024, to January 31, 2025, and later worked online until February 11, 2025, to compensate for leaves taken during my tenure.

Application Process

The application process was straightforward. I applied by submitting my CV and cover letter via email to srg@svsattorneys.com. Within a week, I received a confirmation email and was directed to connect with Mr. Uddaish Palya, an associate at the firm, to understand the firm’s work culture.

Before joining, I received a comprehensive Internship Toolkit and a document titled “Riders and Disclaimers”, outlining the firm’s work modalities. As SVS Attorneys follows a paperless working model, I had to familiarize myself with various online tools before my first day.

First-Day Experience

Starting the internship in physical mode was initially nerve-wracking. However, the welcoming associates helped ease my transition.

One of the most unique experiences at the firm was my interaction with Siddharth Sir, the leading counsel at SVS Attorneys. I had heard about his reputation for strict discipline and punctuality. His daily 20-minute recitation of verses from Shri Ramcharitmanas before beginning office work was something I had never seen before. On learning that I hail from Ayodhya, he expressed extra warmth towards me and advised me to follow the moral principles of Shri Ramcharitmanas in my professional journey.

  • Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 9:45 PM (Males), up to 9:15 PM (Females).
  • Strict Deadlines: Work is meticulously reviewed, and errors are not tolerated.
